Nexus
Self-hosted personal intelligence platform
What it is
Nexus is an intelligence platform I designed and built from scratch. It runs in continuous cycles: collecting signals, scoring them for reliability, reviewing what it's learned, integrating new knowledge into a growing graph, and surfacing what matters. It never stops. Every four hours it runs a full analytical pass, reassessing hypotheses, checking for contradictions, identifying blind spots, and updating its understanding of the world.
The philosophy is always learning, always improving. New sources get folded in. Stale signals decay. Patterns emerge over time that no single collection pass would catch. The system gets smarter the longer it runs.
How it thinks
Nexus runs 8.5-phase knowledge cycles on a constant loop. Each cycle extracts entities from raw signals, resolves them against what's already known, scores competing hypotheses, detects patterns of life, flags indicators and warnings, and identifies gaps in coverage. When it finds something important, it routes it: low-confidence signals get filed, medium signals get summarized, high signals trigger alerts, and critical signals require human approval within a two-hour window.
Nine specialized AI advisors handle different aspects of analysis, each with a distinct role. They review each other's work. They challenge assumptions. They look for what the others missed. The system is designed to question itself.
Collection
69 collectors across 6 intelligence domains with per-source cadences. Each signal is scored using Admiralty/NATO reliability and credibility ratings. New integrations get added regularly as the system's reach expands.
Review Cycles
Every four hours, a full analytical pass. Entity resolution, competing hypothesis analysis, pattern-of-life baselines, contradiction detection, and blind spot identification. The system reviews its own conclusions and revises them.
Knowledge Integration
A Neo4j knowledge graph that grows over time. New facts get connected to existing knowledge. Old facts get invalidated. The graph captures not just what's true now, but what was true before and when things changed.
Oversight
Autonomous routing for routine signals. Human approval gates for anything critical. The system is designed to operate independently but never make important decisions alone.
Infrastructure
The whole system is self-hosted and distributed across 12 machines. No cloud vendors, no third-party data custody. Everything runs on hardware I own and maintain.
